The Uzwelo boys in grey, brown and yellow were at it again. This time taking the brunt of the winter morning kiss at 5am, to travel 91.5 km to watch middle aged men in tights, peddling away at the beautiful terrain of the KwaZulu-Natal hills to earn the title of the Husqvarna Classic 2019 – Mid Illovo Challenge winner. As part of our ongoing partnership with the event, the first 800 entries received a lovely, one-of-a-kind Uzwelo shopper bag.
Of course, we weren’t there just for the bike show. We were there to showcase our awesome brand Uzwelo. This was an opportunity to tell our amazing school bag story as well as introduce people to the next big thing in recycled fashion, rPET felt bags. For first timers at the event, the boys had a great time engaging with customers, receiving immediate feedback and grabbing that odd coffee to keep the spirits up. We definitely look forward to the next event in 2020.
