As a business, we’ve always been innovation and service-driven, whilst ensuring we are community-focused and give back to South Africa.
Now is no different. Yes, as an international business, the Coronavirus pandemic has impacted our business, even before President Ramaphosa announced a South African lockdown that would be in place until April 16, 2020.
In true Expand a Sign fashion – we asked is there anything we can do to help make a difference for the greater well-being of our communities and employees. The answer was … we can produce washable face masks!
Not medical grade masks that our health workers require, but mask made from fabric that can help you and your non-medical employees to reduce the spread of the virus. We have developed a mask that is made of two pieces of fabric, essentially doubling the barrier effect. It also has a handy internal pouch so if you have a cotton mask, you can place it inside our washable mask’s pouch to help prolong your medical mask’s lifespan.
We applied and have been granted permission to operate as an essential service. Our factory is up and running and ready to produce your orders.
In the meantime, stay safe, adhere to the rules, – keep washing your hands, practise social distance.
